Ok it is a little early, but we just can’t help craving our first mince pies of the season! Mince pies are often made with a crumbly shortcrust pastry and a sweet mincemeat filling of dried fruit and a hint of brandy. But why not try baking your mince pies with a twist this year, by using puff pastry or filo pastry? You could also add additional ingredients to a readymade mincemeat filling, we love adding pistachios and sour cherries for a bit of extra wow factor 🤩
