British raspberries are available from June right through until September, depending on the variety. Raspberries are nutrient powerhouses and contain ample amounts of vitamin C, manganese and antioxidants. Use raspberries raw in smoothies and fruit salads; as toppings on porridge or cheesecake; or blend them into sauces for ice cream and puddings!
Like raspberries, blackcurrants are a regular garden and hedgerow feature in the UK. Often confused with blackberries, blackcurrants are small, round and grow in dense bunches.
